Our church is embarking on an exciting journey this year with True North VBS! As we prepare to bring this vision to life, one of the most fulfilling aspects has been coming together as a community of believers to make it happen.
Craft Days & Nights: More Than Just Crafts
To create an immersive and meaningful experience for our VBS attendees, we’ve kicked off our Craft Days and Nights. These gatherings allow volunteers to work on decorations and crafts while also fostering deeper connections with one another. It’s not just about making things—it’s about building relationships, encouraging each other, and strengthening our faith as we serve together.
Starting Simple: Wooden Snowflakes
Tonight, we started with something simple yet beautiful—painting and decorating wooden snowflakes. It was a refreshing way to ease into our creative process without overwhelming our team. Last year, we took on a lot of pool noodle projects, which were fun but also quite the undertaking! This time, we wanted to start with something that felt rewarding and stress-free.
Looking Ahead
We’re so excited to see how this year’s True North VBS unfolds. Each craft day and night brings us one step closer to creating a memorable experience for the kids and families who will attend. As we move forward, I’ll be sharing more about our creative process, complete with step-by-step instructions and inspiration on Pinterest—so stay tuned!
We pray that through these crafts, decorations, and our time together, God continues to strengthen our community and bless this ministry. What are some of your favorite VBS craft ideas? Let us know in the comments!
